Happy Tails!

Giving him a second Chance

Chance :: Home at last!My boyfriend and I adopted Chance, a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier, from his foster mom in North Carolina and it was the best decision we could have made. Chance is a Hurricane Katrina rescue dog and has had a difficult first two years. Chance has been from Mississippi to Florida to North Carolina and now his permanent home in South Carolina. I first saw an advertisement for Chance on a bulletin board at Petsmart and I was instantly drawn to him. I even went as far as programming the contact number in my phone to call about him. At that time I did not have a proper place to keep a dog so I decided not to call.

Six months later I began looking for dogs again and toyed with the idea of getting a puppy. While looking for dogs on the internet I came across Chance again. I could not believe he had not been adopted and I felt sure the ad was old. Chance :: Love this yard!I contacted his foster mom and sure enough he was still available. My boyfriend and I met Chance and fell in love with him. Needless to say we adopted him about a week later. Chance grabs your heart when you meet him because he is so loving and special. All he wants is to be with you and make you happy. Chance is a wonderful, well-behaved dog and we love him to death. I encourage anyone that is interested in a loving companion to consider adopting a pet. I would also like to thank everyone who works with Animal Adoption League because without your efforts our lives could not be touched by these special animals.
